Dear Roommate,
I want to thank you for everything that you've done with me. You deal with me through my good times and my bad. Not only do you help me because we live in such close proximity to each other, but because you want to, and I will forever be thankful for having you in my life. Whether it be a breakup or the newest episode of "New Girl," you're always there to listen to me vent.
You're also there to share in all my good times. You celebrate my victories with me, no matter how trivial they may seem to others. You cheer with me when I pass a test I had been dreading or when I finally get something different for dinner. You boost me up when I'm feeling down but you also know when to give me space, or just give me a hug.
I also don't know what I'd do without our strange shenanigans; ordering too much Domino's just for the two of us or laughing so loudly everyone in the dining hall can't help but to stop and stare. I love going out with you and knowing I have someone I can rely on (or just having someone I can always go home with). I will always cherish the nights we decide to stay in too, making hot chocolate and watching old movies as we laugh until our sides get sore.
When I'm at home, things just aren't the same. I miss our deep, late night conversations where we could talk about what's on our mind or about the world in general. Going on walks in the middle of the night when neither of us can sleep has been something I'll miss in years to come. But mostly, I'll miss being able to share everything with you, no matter how silly or absurd it may seem to others, because you appreciate me for all of my craziness and laziness. So thank you, not only for being my roommate, but for being my best friend.
Sincerely,
Your Other Half
