Hey Best Friend!
Oh boy, where do I even begin? First of all, I want to say that just because you were my childhood best friend, that doesn't mean that our friendship is limited to us being little kids. You've proven yourself to still be one of my best friends in the whole entire world. You've always been there for me. We may not get to talk or see each other as often as we used to, but that's the beauty of being best friends. We can go weeks without talking to each other or seeing each other and we can pick up right where we left off. We may change individually, but our friendship stays the same.
Almost all of my childhood memories include you. From staying up as late as we possibly could at night when we would have sleepovers, to building forts out of blankets and couches in our living rooms, to going to cheer camps and basketball camps, to going to the pool together and sitting on the side eating grilled cheese sandwiches, to going to the beach together, to making up dances together, to dressing alike, to experimenting with makeup together...I could go on and on about all of the crazy things we did when we were little. I wish we could go back one day and relive all of those memories! Those are things that I'm never going to forget. Those are the memories that I'll be able to tell my kids about one day. And of course we can't forget all of the funny pictures we have that embody all of these memories perfectly.
I couldn't have asked for a better person to grow up with. You became like a sister to me. I became part of your family, and you became part of mine. Your siblings became my siblings, and my siblings became yours. You're still my sister, and your family is still my second family! I am so thankful that you were a part of my life as a little kid and I'm even more thankful that you're still a part of my life today. Not a lot of people get to say that they are still close with their childhood best friend...people change, people move away, life happens. But I'm so lucky that you transformed from my childhood best friend to my best friend in my teenage years and now to my best friend even though we are in college.
I can't wait to see all the crazy adventures that we continue to have. We're going to be those old lady best friends who cause trouble in the nursing home one day. I can see it now. I love you so much! You are the BEST.
Love, Your BFF
