Dear Bubby,

I know you’re probably reading this, and grumbling thinking “what is she writing now?” However I honestly do not care, it’s time to get sappy! I’m writing this to say thank you for being there for me whenever I need it, or not.

Thank you for taking care of me when I was younger while mom was working, taking me to my gymnastic classes, girl scouts and picking me up after school. I know I was and will always be your favorite. You being the oldest and me being the youngest, we have a bond that no one can match up with. You looked after six girls and manage to make all of us a little more tomboy than girly girl and you are very protective over all of us and threaten to hurt any guy that breaks our hearts. I will always be your biggest fan and pain in the rear.

Big Brother, you’re honestly my hero. Why? You work long hours, are an amazing dad, older brother, fiancé, uncle and son anyone could have asked for; you work hard to make sure each one of us has what we need and sometimes wants. You sir manage to make me laugh within seconds of talking to you, from you saying something about the twins, or about how my family lives across the street in the pasture. You always know what to say and when to say it, you manage to keep everyone calm and stay strong when things are going so rough. For that thank you for everything that you’ve done for me, you are an amazing role model for me, and I couldn’t thank you enough for all that you do for me.

Your mini-me is beyond lucky to have a father like you to look up to; she already has you wrapped around her finger. Every time I talk to her or see her she is rambling on about something that you said and it puts the biggest smile on my face. You’re an amazing parent and big brother. I love you to the moon and back. I wouldn’t have been the amazing young lady I am today if it wasn’t for your participation in my growing up. Now you can get off your phone and text me about how dumb this article is, even though I know you secretly loved it.
