This is a thank you to anyone who has ever helped me in any type of way. I usually try to make it a point to thank people, but sometimes I am so overwhelmed by how kind someone can be, I forget to say the most simple things. So here it is: Thank you.

Thank you for being there for me when no one else was. You listened and tried to help me through whatever problem I was facing, and I really appreciate it more than you know. Taking your time out of the day to be there for me is so selfless and kind, and even if you don't see it as a big deal it means the world to me.

Thank you for making me laugh. I absolutely love to have a good laugh. If I am in a bad mood or a good mood you know exactly what to say to bring a smile to my face. Whether it was your intention or not to make me happy, thank you so much either way.

Thank you for having my back. Thank you for sticking up for me when I need someone on my side or to defend me even when I don't ask ask you to. It is always good to know I always have someone in my corner and ready to come to my defense if things are not going my way.

Thank you for sharing your food with me. Who doesn't love food? It is so simple but so nice to offer something that you paid for or are eating. I know its not a huge deal but it still deserves a thank you, so thank you.

Thank you for choosing to be my friend and a part of my life. You are free to walk out anytime you want, but you don't. No one ever told you that you had to be my friend and stick around, but you do. I don't know what I did to deserve someone like you but I am happy that the world brought you into my life. I am grateful beyond belief for the things you do for me, and I wish there was a better way for me to express my appreciation.

So for everything I said thank you for, I promise to keep doing the same for you. I promise to be there for you and to listen when you need someone. I promise to make you laugh when you need to smile the most. I promise to always have your back, and to share my food with you too. Finally, I promise to always be your friend, because it is great having you in my life.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
