Dear Roomies,
You guys are my family. I love coming home to you people every day because you have successfully made our little college house a home. I could write you a thousand letters and never express my gratitude for y'all, but here's a feeble attempt to say thank you for being the best roommates out there. Thank you for:
1. Being equally as weird as I am.
2. Waking me up when I sleep till 10 minutes before class.
3. Sharing grapes.
4. Loving my pet fish.
5. Watching weird TLC shows with me.
6. Welcoming awkward questions.
7. Letting me be messy when it’s just one of those weeks.
8. Interrupting my high-stress study sessions with spontaneous dance parties.
9. Saturday morning pancake breakfasts.
10. Littering our living room with blankets from Netflix snuggle nights.
11. Teaching me the importance of a clean kitchen.
12. Helping me learn how to do this whole “adult” thing. I wouldn’t want to settle bank accounts and struggle through water bill issues with anyone else.
13. Inviting me to invade your closet. I can’t remember the last time shopping was necessary.
14. Tagging me in cute dog Instagram accounts.
15. Believing in the importance of quality time.
16. Buying enough hummus for an army.
17. Breaking the fart barrier the first day we lived together.
18. Always being down to talk about boys and offer advice.
19. Singing loudly often. It might not always be beautiful music, but it's one of my favorite sounds.
20. Solving the world's problems with me in the wee hours of the morning. "Pillow talk" doesn't even begin to capture the conversations we have.
21. Laughing. All the time.
22. Knowing the balance between being happy and being real. I love coming home to zero expectations for me to be perfect.
23. Making our house a place where it's OK to not be OK. What a relief to know that you welcome tears and will drop anything at any hour to take care of me.
24. Not letting me get away with saying "good" when you ask how my day was.
25. Reminding me to take care of myself when there's too much on my plate.
26. Being examples. I want to be more like you people.
27. Constantly reminding me that there is grace for my shortcomings and mistakes. You love me when it's easy and when it's not, and I couldn't make it without your gentle reminders that I'm forgiven.
28. Not letting me take myself too seriously.
29. Rejoicing with me when I accomplish something.
30. Being my best friends. Y'all are 100 percent bridesmaid material and some of the biggest joys in my life. You know me well. You put up with my shambles. You bring joy to even the most ordinary days. You challenge me and make me better, and when it comes down to it, I couldn't survive without y'all. I love you, roomies.
