Mom,
There is so much I have to say, but I will begin by saying thank you. You are my biggest blessing, and you have shaped me into the young woman I am today. Thank you for everything you do, everything you have done and everything you will do. Thank you for being the one person I can always turn to and count on, because somehow you always have a solution for whatever my biggest problem of the day may be.
Though it felt like we fought every day from the beginning of middle school to the end of my high school career (which we probably did), there was never a day that you stopped loving me or stopped putting me first, even when I may have deserved it. But in some very odd way I am thankful for that, as those endless arguments have only brought us closer and have made me beyond fortunate to have grown up with a mother like you.
Raising Christopher and me, you had to play the role of a father too, and it is one thing I will never stop being so proud of you for. It is unbelievable to me, how good at being both parents you are--better than most traditional parents to be honest- not only for one kid, but two.
To label you as a supermom may be as much of an understatement as it is a cliché, for you are not only that, but the one person I can look up to more than anyone else. Thank you for being my mom, my hero, my best friend, my mentor, my chauffeur, my cook, my biggest supporter and so much more.
Thank you for bringing me into this beautiful world and raising me to have a good head on my shoulders. Thank you for teaching me how to be as strong as you are, instilling good morals and teaching me to believe in myself in whatever I do. Thank you for putting my needs before yours and always having patience with me. Thank you for making me work for whatever I have wanted, and for not only dealing with, but knowing exactly how to handle my over-dramatic personality.
Thank you for being the cool mom, and one of the biggest reasons any of my friends ever wanted to come to our house. There are so many things I can thank you for, but the most important thing is for being you. I truly couldn’t ask for a better mom. I promise that no matter what happens, I will always love you like you have loved me, and I will be there for you in any condition, always.
I appreciate you, all that you’ve done and all that you continue to do. I hope that someday I can be half of the person that you are.
Love your biggest fan,
Haleigh
