Dear Roomie,
When I walked into our dorm room on the first day of move-in, I had no idea what to expect. Living with someone I had never met was an absolutely terrifying concept to me. How was I supposed to sleep with a stranger two feet away? I had seen the movie "Roommate" and had the worst case scenarios running around in my head during the weeks leading up to meeting you for the first time. Thinking back on it now, I remember the process of stalking your Facebook and Instagram before move-in, trying to find clues that would tell me if we would get a long.
It didn't take long after moving in together to figure out that we are a perfect match. And by that, I mean, of course, that we wear the same size clothes.Thank you for doubling the size of my closet by sharing all of your clothes with me.
I guess nothing brings people together like living in a tiny dorm room, because we were at school for less than a week before I decided you were my long lost soulmate.
Now, just seven short months later, I couldn't imagine living without you. You have become way more to me than just my roommate.
You are the world's best boyfriend and I love all the dates you take me on.
You're the perfect therapist for those nights when I could just talk for hours.
You are my amazing, although sometimes brutal, personal trainer who never fails to motivate me at the gym.
You're a much needed life coach during those weeks when nothing seems to be going my way.
You are the world's best mom during those long nights when I happen to be sick and need you to take care of me.
You are the perfect back up dancer for our Justin Bieber dance parties.
You are the most wonderful roommate because you start every sentence with "You know that one 'Friends' episode when..."
You are a patient person because you don't get mad at me when I eat all of our bagels.
You're generous and proved it when you bought me a cake on my birthday.
Most of all, you are the best stranger I have ever lived with.
