Dear Professor,
As I come to the close of the year, I wanted to take a moment to recognize everything you've done for me this semester...so from the bottom of my heart: Thank You.
For not (outwardly) judging my disheveled appearance when I stumbled into your 8:00 am classroom.
For consoling me when I got a bad grade and didn’t expect it.
For consoling me when I got a good grade and didn’t expect it.
For putting up with my constant stream of self deprecating humor and sarcasm.
For writing me last minute letters of recommendation- I promise I will get better at asking for help earlier.
For reminding me what my strengths are.
For understanding when I just couldn't come to class.
For hearing me out... on class work, on my social life, on life.
For letting me cry in your office.
For letting me steal your tissues when I cried in your office.
For telling me everything would be okay.
For helping me find the bright spots in bad days.
For pointing me in the direction of people who could help me...
For telling me what I needed to hear,
Not just what I wanted to hear.
For giving me the tools and support to get through what has been one of the toughest years of my life.
Throughout the laughter, the tears, the advice, and the care, I don’t know where I would be without you.
Thank you.
See you next class.
