With about a month left of my undergrad year and Thanksgiving around the corner, it's time to give thanks to all the people I have met in college. Everyone has impacted my experience and has helped shape me into the person I am today.

Thank you to all of my peers in the classroom, especially the ones that have engaged in debates and conversations with me. Arguing and discussing different ideas has increased my perception of the world. Thank you to all the people that did not say anything in the classroom because you showed me how the timid guy I used to be was and reminded me how I have tried to overcome my shyness.

To all of my professors, thank you for pushing me to learn and challenge myself. Even though some of the assignments and tests might have been unclear or overly complicated, and I was cursing you out at two in the morning, you still made me a stronger individual and a better scholar.

Thank you to the food staff (especially the Starbucks employees). You do so much and no one ever gives you enough credit. Thank you to the Starbucks baristas for giving me free iced coffee every week sophomore year. That meant so much!

Thank you to all of the friends I have made. We share so many great memories. All of our friendships, I hope, will last for many more years. But if they don't, then you have helped make these four years fun and bearable. From pizza balls, watching football, going to Big Burger Spot, and playing video games, we always find a way to laugh and have a good time together.

To my roommates, even though it changed throughout the years, you guys were so much fun to live with and we figured out how to adult together. I know I suck at doing the dishes and was banned from doing them, but at least I tried to help out. Even though some of us might not be the best of friends, we were great roommates.

Finally, thank you to my girlfriend. You have been by my side from the beginning and I will never forget how we first met. We were both nervous and scared (mostly me), and needed a reason to talk to each other. Today, we share an apartment together and a cat. At the start of college, I would have never guessed I would be walking out with the love of my life by my side. I am so grateful having someone that is so supportive, adventurous, and loving. You have made college so rewarding and enjoyable. Thank you so much!

With that, senior year is coming to a close and I look forward to all the new relationships I will make in the future and all the relationships that will only grow stronger. Thank you everyone!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
