To The Wonderful People My Parents Are In Relationships With,
When you first came into our lives, that's when I knew my life was officially changed forever. No longer would my parents be together, as they had been for most of my life. Now, they would be sharing their hearts with new people; people who, at the time, I hadn't even met yet. Though I was skeptical at first, being young and naive, I now couldn't be more grateful that you two were the people my parents fell in love with.
Being away at college has given me a whole new perspective on your relationships with my parents. Over time, you both have proven that you sincerely love and care for my parents. You have nothing but their best interests at heart, and that, I couldn't be happier about. You know that my brother, sister, and I are the most important people in their lives (besides you, of course) and you treat us with the same patience, dedication, and love as my parents do. Knowing that you, too, make sacrifices for not only my Mom and Dad's happinesses, but for their children's, as well, is an important factor of your relationships and I couldn't thank you enough for all that you both do.
You come out to support my brother, sister, and I at events that are important to us. You ask us about our days, and offer us advice when we're having troubles. You take the time to talk to us, and learn about our hobbies, interests, and lives. You have welcomed us into your families as if we were your own. You have made space in your hearts and homes for us, without hesitation. And for that, both my parents and I are eternally grateful.
My little family has grown a little bigger and, unlike when I was younger, I have a newfound appreciation for that. You are my family, too. You treat me as such, and I hope you know I think of you as such. My parents' happiness is so important to me, so thank you for being an ever-present source of love and happiness for them. You are all I ever could have asked for them. Thank you for bringing into my life something I never knew I needed. You are wonderful and I love you with all my heart.
