Dear Mom and Dad,
Your baby girl is about to go to college. We have all been working for so long in order for me to succeed in life. I know that y'all are worried because I'll be in a new place and further away, but it will be OK. I will come visit all the time. I love you both so much and I am so thankful for everything y'all have done for me.
Mom, I know things are going to be rough because no one will be there during the week to help you take care of Nautica; but I know you can make it, even if you don't have any patience left. You're probably ready for me to move into my dorm so you will finally get a bed to yourself, since Daddy and the dogs hog your bed. Thank you for helping me with the never-ending financial aid struggle. Thank you for being there for me whenever I need advice.
Dad, I'm finally an adult now. I will be leaving home soon, so make sure Nautica doesn't drive Momma crazy. I'm sorry for leaving Hershey with you, along with all the other dogs we already have. I know you'll be happy when I do move out though because you won't get woken up when I come home late at night. Thank you for all the father-daughter dates we took when I was younger, I loved spending time with you and I miss our Harley rides. Thank you for all the times I needed help with my car and you fixed it.
Thank y'all both for loving me for the past 18 years and giving me the strength that I needed to move on in life. Thank you both for not letting me go without a car or gas. Thank you both for helping me move into the next chapter of my life. I am proud to call y'all my parents. I love you and I will always be your baby girl.
In the words of one of my favorite songs, "Well I love you more than anything in the world."
Love,
Your Baby Girl"
