Thank you. These two words can't begin to express my gratitude for everything that y 'all have done for me and for always being there for me.

Over the years (especially the past 4) I have made some questionable decisions and haven't always been the best person to be around. No matter what I have done or what I have pursued y 'all have always supported me and have always been there to pick me up when everything fell apart.

Going away to college is something that I always knew I wanted to do and something that scared y 'all beyond belief BUT y 'all always put me and my dreams above your reservations and fears.

By allowing me to spread my wings and make my own decisions y 'all are allowing me to truly find myself and I can not be more grateful for this opportunity. I can't wait to fail a little and tell y'all that I learned from it.

Being the youngest child hasn't always been the easiest but it is definitely rewarding. I have learned so much from the control and patience y 'all have shown in various situations and for keeping your cool even in the toughest and most unique of circumstances.

The love y 'all show for each other, our family, and most importantly the Lord has taught me so many things and has allowed me to be confident in my faith as I take on this new part of my life because I was raised with a true understanding of God and his amazing love. By introducing me to a church full of loving, compassionate, and forgiving people I have gained another family who has guided me in my walk with Christ and my daily struggles of life.

To my dad, thank you for showing me what I deserve and constantly letting me know that my worth is found in God and not other people. Thank you for never giving up on me and allowing me to pursue my dreams even when they seemed impossible. You make me feel like a true princess every day and I couldn't be more grateful.

To my mom, thank you for showing me how to love everyone despite their flaws and imperfections. Thank you for putting up with my grumpy morning moods and for always giving me a reality check. Due to your unconditional love for others, you have instilled a passion for teaching in me that I can't wait to show the world.

Thank you for picking me off the ground when I was in a million pieces and encouraging me to keep going. If it wasn't for your support and constant motivation I would not have been and accomplish anything.

Overall, I would never be where I am today if it wasn't for y'all. You guys mean the world to me and even though we won't be in the same place I will keep y'all close to my heart every day.

Love, your little girl

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
