Dear new members,

It's over. You survived recruitment! But most of all, you got your bid. The bid that allows you to begin a new chapter in your life, first as a new member and then eventually as a sister of the Theta Mu Chapter of Chi Omega here at WPI. I hope you're extremely excited to embark on this journey with us because I know we are excited about you.

I want to tell you everything. I want to learn the craziest, most amazing things about each and every one of you. I can't wait for you to see all of the great things that Chi Omega will bring you. I hope that you will love and appreciate it as much as I do. Soon, you will each get a big sister and probably find a role model (or a few). Many Dunkin dates, long nights and a million laughs are in your future. I hope you're ready.

You've joined a group of women who, from Bid Day forward, will be your support system. I know there are a lot of us, but it is worth getting to know every single one. Some of these people will be your best friends, maybe even bridesmaids. I know I still learn really awesome things about my sisters everyday. We WILL be there for you for every up, every down and every moment in between.

Chi Omega has opened up so many doors and taught me many new things. People I never knew I would be friends with are now my sisters. I always have someone to text for late night ice cream, movie night or even to camp out in the library with.

It's not just four years, it's for life.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
