Dear Little,
College is so much fun and such an amazing experience. You are so new to it all and it is going to take some major adjusting, however, I am here to tell you that life is going to happen and I will always be here for you when things get tough.
Messing Up. College is great, but you’re going to see some scary stuff. You’re going to do some things you said you would NEVER do. Sometimes you’re going to mess up really bad and that sucks, but it will get better. As your Big, I will do my best to help you clean up any of the messes you make, no matter how large they are. Boys. Little, I am so so so glad that you have found a boy that you like. However, we are in college, and I hate to break it to you but he’s not ready to settle down. I know he said he is, but sometimes boys tell you things that you want to hear for their own evil reasons. You have so much time in college to find the man of your dreams, and who knows, maybe you won’t even find him here! Don’t sleep with him. Take it slow and don’t do anything you will regret because college boys talk, A LOT. Enjoy college, have your fun, but not too much fun, and remember that your reputation is all that you have. Keep it classy. Partying. Slow down. You have four years here, and there will be a party every weekend, I promise. You aren’t missing anything. It’s okay to spend a weekend in with me watching movies all night. Dancing on tables is only fun for so long. Besides, your liver could use a break and you deserve a good night’s sleep and a hangover-free weekend. You’ll survive, I promise. School. Whatever you do, please remember that you came here to get an education. Coming to college was the best decision of my life, and I’ve had so much fun. I’ve made so many friends and gotten involved with so many different activities it's insane! However, at the end of the day, I'm here for school. Not my BFFs, not boys and not for anyone else. I came here for me and you need to be here for you. Put your studies first because at the end of the day, your parents are paying, and school isn’t cheap. Stay focused.Help. If you need any form of help be it academically, spiritually, financially, etc. Do NOT be afraid to ask for help. Asking for help doesn’t make you a quitter, it shows that you are smart enough to realize that you need an extra hand in getting something done, and is a very admirable quality. As your Big, I promise to always help you in any way that I can, even if that means going to the ends of the earth to get you the help you need. Lastly, I want you to know there is absolutely nothing you could do to ever make me not love you. From the moment we had our first conversation, I knew that I wanted you as my Little, and I am so glad it all worked out for the better. We chose each other. I will always be here for you, and It's my hope that you will come to me in times of need. I will never judge you or make you feel bad about any decisions you make. I will forever be there to catch you when you fall.I got you.
Love,
Big <3
