Dear mom,
The week is finally here, the week of your wedding. And as I start packing to come home for this event, I have had many thoughts running through my head. You see, it's not everyday that you get to attend your mother's wedding, especially as an almost 20 year old. So, as the day arrives very quickly, there are a few things that I want to say to you.
I first want to say that I am extremely happy that you are finally happy. We both know that it took a lot of time and a lot of heart break to finally get to this point. And there is nothing that I want more in my life than to see you be genuinely happy. You have spent your entire life ensuring that I always had everything I needed and wanted so that I could be happy, and now, it's your turn.
I find that I have many hopes for you on this day. I hope that this day is everything you have imagined it to be. I don't know if you have ever dreamed about what your wedding day would be like, but now that it is finally here, I hope it looks just like those dreams because everyone deserves for their dreams to come true, especially these dreams. I also hope that at the end of the day, you feel with content with your decision. I hope that this will be your forever and that you will never have to feel as though you are alone.
For years you put your own happiness on the back burner so you could be the best mother you could be, but I want you to know now that it is okay to put yourself first now. I am not the same little girl I used to be and now it is your time to get everything that you have ever dreamed of. It is your turn to have an immense amount of happiness in your life, a different kind of happiness. A happy that can never be taken away from you because it is the happiest you have ever been in your life.
So, as this day approaches very quickly, know that I am thrilled to be a part of your day. I am looking forward to seeing the smile that will be on your face for that whole day and for the rest of your life. Congratulations, enjoy your special day, and know that I love you.
Sincerely,
Your daughter and Maid of Honor
