To my mini me,
You are never easy to deal with, but I do it because I love you. I would do anything for you baby girl. You know I always have your back no matter how many times I pick on you or I am mean to you. Just like I know you always have my back as well.
I remember when we were smaller and everything you used to do would annoy me. Whether it was follow me around because you wanted to see exactly every single thing I was doing or trying to play games with me (that you were quite terrible at), I eventually grew to enjoy just having you around me. Almost as much as I enjoyed seeing you get in trouble when you tried blaming me for something you did. Even though I got in trouble just as often, if not more than you did.
I think all those times that mom would make us hold hands and talk about our feelings toward each other until we made up helped us grow closer. To be honest, I'm grateful she made us do so. If she didn't, I don't think I would have such an amazing relationship with my wonderful little sister.
I look forward to coming home because I know I'm always welcomed with a huge hug from you. Now since you have gotten so much taller, your hugs have become better. My favorite thing you do when I'm home is when you randomly come into my room and lay on my bed and start playing music. We don't even have to talk. I love to be around you baby girl.
I realize now that every time we hung out, talked, argued or whatever made each of us grow as people. Even though every time we hang out, it seems we always go get ice cream, and I have to pay. You could offer, but that's OK. I don't mind buying you things. I'm sorry that we don't do or talk as much since I am away, but I want you to know that I will never not consider you my best friend. You are always there when I need you baby girl. Sometimes I know I have to bribe you to be there with Starbucks, money or pizza, but you are always there for me.
I've grown to love everything you do except for when you steal my clothes. I know you are growing and some of your clothes don't fit anymore, but my UK sweatshirt is mine. It's my favorite, and you always seem to be wearing it. Everything you do makes you, you, and I love you.
After not seeing you as much it is easier for me to see that you have grown up to be such a wonderful girl, with such a strong head on your shoulders and a kind heart. I like to think that I had something to do with how you turned out. You are someone I will always treasure baby girl. I love you so very much.
Love always,
Your big sister.
