Nothing makes me happier than to see children fall in love with a sport at a young age, no matter what the sport is. I'll always look back on the days of soccer and swimming, but nothing will ever come close to my love of running.

I wish I could tell you how much you're going to love and hate this sport at the same time. There will be days where you are going to think your legs will never, ever, want to run again. And there are going to be days where you are never going to want to stop running.

Love every second of those days.

You should always be proud of yourself, even if you don't think you ran well. Never compare yourself to your teammates, I promise you truly are different than the rest of them. And never, ever, ever, be super competitive with your teammates, they are there to be supportive and make you better.

Some say you're going to look back and think about your races when you're just starting out, and you may or may not regret the situation, but promise me you will look at it as progress. There should be no pressure on how you do your training or how you race your race until the day you dedicate your life to it.

The day you let running rule you and your being in all of its entirety is the day you will fall out of love with the sport.

Let the sport be an extra essence to your day or your being.

Never, ever, ever let one race define you. This sport is a progression and there is always room for progress.

Yes, you will most definitely get injured and you need to embrace it. It will never be the end of your world and honestly it just sets you up for an amazing concept and a whole new outlook on how you need to train and recover.

So next time you lace up your spikes just have fun, love every second of it.

One day you won't be able to run like this... so love it now before it's too late.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
