To the girl with the open heart,

First off, let me tell you that your ability to love so hard and unconditionally is a blessing more than a curse. Yes, having such an open heart can sometimes make you feel like you'll forever be giving more of yourself than you'll ever get in return, but I can assure you that's false. You'll constantly meet people throughout your life that will take your love for granted and take so much out of you that you feel empty. But you can't forget that there are people like you out there that want to give just as much as you do.

There are so many wonderful things about having an open heart! While others are building walls and pushing people away you'll be too caught up in searching for the good in everyone. Also, no matter what anyone tells you, love is endless. You never run out of love to give so don't let yourself believe that you've wasted any of it on someone. To you everyone deserves love, even the people that hurt you and do wrong by you. Your open heart allows you to shower people with unconditional, genuine love. At the end of the day you'll probably feel drained because all throughout the day you've done nothing but give. You give so much of yourself that you don't have time to stop and think about your heart. But honestly you wouldn't have it any other way.

Loving someone with an open heart can be one of the most challenging wonderful experiences. When you love with an open heart it makes relationships so much better because love isn't about doing what makes you happy, it's getting lost in the person you're with and wanting nothing but their happiness. So if you love with an open heart, you're doing it right.

Never let someone make you feel less because you love so freely. You just chose to not let your struggles harden your heart.
