Dear crying girl,

I want to start by saying that this boy you are crying over is clearly not worth being in your life if you are crying over him!

Now, I know it is easier said than done when I tell you that you shouldn't cry over him because well, here I am doing the same thing. But at the end of the day, he isn't worth your tears because the person who is meant to be in your life will not make you cry tears of sadness, but tears of joy and happiness.

You see, as women, our minds are trained to think that we need a man by our side to fully enjoy ourselves and have a great life. But in all reality, that is not the case whatsoever. For years, women have worked to gain rights in this world, and while we are not 100% there, we are pretty damn close. That makes us important! Woman have given birth and raised children on their own for centuries, been a single working parents and done just fine, so we do not need a man!

To be single is to be strong. It takes a lot to be proud of being by yourself in a world where everything feels as though you must be in a relationship, so embrace it, ladies. While you are sitting here crying over a boy who clearly doesn't see what he is missing, there is someone else out there that wishes they could be that man in your life.

In the words on my freshman year RA, "If he's not being a man for you, then there's no need for you to be a woman for him." -Teah. So, dry your tears, splash some water on your face and stop crying over him. He doesn't deserve you if he's making you cry. Go be the majestic, beautiful woman that you are and be happy on your own! In time, you'll find the one who makes you cry out of laughter and not sadness.
