To All Of Our Past Relationships,
There was a point in our lives — whether it was a week, month, year or years ago — that we both decided to take a leap of faith and form a real relationship. Promising each other loyalty, openness and, of course, endless cuddle sessions and last-minute date nights.
Having a boyfriend or girlfriend is so much fun because, no matter, what you will have someone to watch movies with, cry to when you are happy or sad, go out to dinner with, force to run errands with you, or go on a million random adventures with, and neither one can complain.
Unfortunately, not all relationships meet the end goal of why we started them in the first place. Not every relationship will make it to the finish line with a diamond ring and white dress, but that is not to say the relationship was not incredible while it lasted, it just wasn't meant to be forever. So what do we get to take away from these relationships that occupied our time?
After every failed relationship, you can look back and can determine what you like and did not like in that specific partner. Once that is done, moving forward you are only going to search for and date those better qualities because you know how it made you fell to be with someone who does not obtain them.
For instance, you will learn your ideal communication situation. Living in the 21st century with all of the rapid increases in technology it's easy to find yourself constantly engaged with others. If you and the ex were not on the same page about when to text or call each other you know for the future to find someone who will meet your needs of daily communication.
If an ex ever hurt you, made you cry or brought out the worst side of you, that’s how you know it is time to move on because someone out there only wants to see the best of you.
So, I would like to say thank you to all ex-boyfriends and ex-girlfriends out there. If it weren't for you, we would not have been able to progress to finding Mr.or Mrs. Right.
What we had may have been great, and of course, it will always be remembered and cherished, but you have helped us to unveil what our real needs are and what we are looking for in the future.
Life is organic, we are constantly growing and learning, so thank you for being a part of the lesson.
Sincerely,
Your Ex
