Dear McDreamy,
It's been almost a year since you left our screens and lives forever, and I miss you more than you'll ever know. The first time I saw you, when you were naked on Meredith's floor, I knew you were going to be someone special. The first time I heard you say, "It's a beautiful day to save lives," I knew you were going to be an amazing doctor.
In the season one finale, things got a little hairy when we met Addison, your secret wife. I wasn't sure exactly how things were going to go, but I knew eventually you would make things right...and you did. You always knew how to make things right and were a true friend to everyone you knew. Patients and doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial, formerly known as Seattle Grace Hospital, were able to confide in you because you were a trustworthy and honest man, with a charming face and personality.
I want you to know that I was with you through everything. I saw you cry over the patients you weren't able to save, reinforcing my belief that you were a passionate doctor. I was even there with you when you planned to throw in the towel and put down the scalpel forever -- that didn't happen though, you had to save a friend, Izzie. You saved her, despite the odds that told you it was nearly impossible. You took on the most challenging cases and overcame the odds.
It saddens me to know that your children won't be able to be with you as they grow up, but I know that they will always be reminded of what a great father you were.
I take comfort in the fact that you are able to reconnect to the people who had passed on before you. I imagine you making jokes with Mark once again, you and Lexie bonding over your mutual love for Meredith, and being able to hug your father after all these years.
I treasure that I was able to witness the progression of your epic love story with Meredith. You were an adoring husband and showed the world the way a woman should be treated. I hope I find someone who looks at me the way you looked at Meredith.
Whenever I see a ferryboat, I will think of you.
Love Always,
Your Number One Fan, Supporter And Admirer
