Let's face it, we all have "that friend." You know the one that everyone loves to death and couldn't imagine their life without, but could also strangle them at any point in time? Yes, that one. Some will relate to this letter and instantly think of their friend who I am writing about, others, may realize it's them. No worries, though, we love you.

Dear friend,

I honestly don't know what I would do without you. Sometimes I get selfish and greedy and don't thank you enough for all that you do for me. You're always there when I need you and all the times I don't. You see that's where I go wrong, I don't thank you for the times that I don't think I need you, but you know I do. You can be a lot to handle sometimes, but that's not always a bad thing. Yes, you are super loud and make the dumbest jokes. Yet, you'll always find me laughing or fighting back a smile when I tell you that I hate you. Which, we both know isn't true. Your humor is too much for me and I often feel like I am getting an ab workout when all we did was go get food and walk around Walmart. Oh, speaking of, no one finds more weird things to do in Walmart to get us kicked out than you do. So that's a plus, I think.

Honestly, I could really strangle you sometimes, for the things you say or do. But at the end of the day, you were either being honest with me or it doesn't matter that much. Only I can call you funny names or be super blunt with you, if anyone else tries it they'll need an ambulance. Guess you're kind of like my sibling that way. Where it's more like a love/hate relationship but the hate isn't real. Thank you for all of the late night talks, daytime exploring, evening activities that we never knew we were getting into until we were too deep to turn back. Thank you for being spontaneous and always down to have a good time. Keep being loud, if you were quite it just wouldn't be the same. That's the thing is you're perfect the way you are. We are going to get into stupid petty fights but at the end of the day, there is no one else I would rather spend all my spare time with. Stay crazy!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
