As we have grown older, life has set us all on different paths. We don’t see each other as much as we would like to, and it’s almost impossible to make dinner plans due to our hectic schedules. It’s kinda crazy to think back on the hours we used to spend playing with Bratz dolls every day. If only we had that much free time these days. I think it’s important each of you know how much you mean to me, no matter where we go in life. Please read this cheesy, yet completely heartfelt letter written by yours truly.
Know that I am here for you. You can always text me, call me, FaceTime me, Snapchat me, whatever. We don’t even have to talk about anything. We can talk about everything. If you’re having a bad day and need someone to cry to, you know I’m all ears, and I’ll probably cry with you because I’m the most emotional one of us all.
Know that I believe in you. And so do our parents. Each of us has a special gift that is meant to be shared with the world. However you plan to do that, I trust your reasoning. I might not always agree with what you are doing, but I believe in you enough to know that you will make the right decision. I will celebrate you in times of triumph and lift you up when you’re feeling defeated.
Know that I will make time for you. As I mentioned before, we all have busy lives, but that doesn’t mean we have to go months without seeing one another. We need to start taking advantage of the time we still have while we’re young before "real life" starts.
Know that I miss you when we are apart, and I miss the old days. I miss dancing to Cheetah Girls songs and making up dance routines to perform for our parents. I miss trips to the beach, Carowinds, and Kings Dominion. I miss jumping on the trampoline and just being kids.
Know that I am thankful for you. It’s scary to think about what could’ve been had our parents done anything differently. I am so thankful for the way things turned out. I couldn’t imagine my life without each and every one of you. You all have shaped me into the person I am today. I hope that I have had that same effect on you.
Know that I am proud of you. Whether it's working, going to school, playing baseball, or even raising a child, you are all doing exceptionally well. I guess our parents kinda knew what they were doing all those years.
Know that I am excited for the future. There are so many memories waiting to happen. Careers, weddings, and babies will be our reality sooner than later. I can’t wait to see what all of us are doing ten years from now. I just know that we will be like the Kardashians, taking family vacations to Bora Bora and St. Barts.
I love you all more than you know. I hope this letter has brightened your day and reminded you how special you are to me. Thank you for making my life better.
All the love,
Your big/little sister Sara
