Let’s be real here, you are kind of a badass.
I mean how much you have done for me over the years makes me think that you’re some type of superhero that can do anything and everything. I don’t think you know honestly how much you mean to me and how much you’ve been there for me over the years. You’re the one who I know and one who I can trust with anything that I have to say. The best thing about it is, you’re still here and you’re still with me even though you’re not.
Do you realize what you have done for me?
You act like my father; you support me with everything that I do even when it’s out of your comfort zone. You’ll go into an environment full of glitter and sparkles when you’re dressed in jeans, steel toed boots and a flannel. Yet you don't even care what other people think; that's pretty awesome. It shows that you care about anything that I do no matter what environment you have to be in. You just want to see me and support me. You check in on me almost every week to make sure that I’m doing alright and you say how much you miss me. I can say how amazing it is to feel how much you love me even though when you don’t say it I can just tell.
There’s one thing that makes me super happy.
It’s when you say that you’re proud of me. The smile that comes across your face and that soft voice saying how amazed you are with me makes tears come to my eyes. The emotions start running because I feel the connection that we have even when we’re just sitting around talking about our daily lives. I see myself in you and it’s amazing to observe.
I want to thank you for being the one I open up to.
The fact that you listen to what I have to say and give me advice on what to do is amazing, whether it’s about school, a break up or just an issue in my life. You’re always there and you know what to say no matter what the situation is.
Let’s face it, you’re a pretty awesome person.
I mean you’re not afraid when you get mud on your jeans. It’s like whatever to you and I’m the same way. You’re so much like me and that’s what I love the most because you get me and you get who I am.
