I have been so blessed to have the people that I do in my life.

To My Family,

Thank you for the life you have all given me, for making sacrifices, for planning around my schedule, for never judging me and always loving me. I will never be able to repay you for these things. Each of you has had such a strong and positive impact on my life and because of you, I am the person that I am today, I have the opportunities I have today, and I feel unconditional and constant love everyday.

To my parents,

Thank you for ever sacrifice you have made for me over the past twenty one years. Thank you for knowing how to teach me and mold me into the person that I am today. I know I've always been the wild child, and you both have NEVER failed to support my dreams and goals. I will never be able to thank you enough for the love and support that you have, and continue to give to me.

To my siblings,

You two have taught me more than you will ever know. Although I do complain about this a lot, Having an older sister to follow in school was one of the best things that could have happened. I learned from you how to become s better and stronger person just by observing the way that you carry yourself. Having a younger brother has always been fun and I want to thank you for always lightening the mood when it needs to be lightened and teaching me to never give up.

To my grandparents,

Although two of you are no longer here with us, all four of you have impacted my life in such a positive way. Some of my favorite memories are those of my cousins and I spending the night with you, family trips to the lake together, cookies and donuts for breakfast, and much much more. You taught me at a young age how important it is to have a happy and content heart.

To my aunts, uncles, cousins, and everyone in between,

Thank you for making my life so full from the time I was born on. Thank you for your caring hearts and your willingness to always step in when needed. You all have taught me how to have fun, how to love, how to smile and laugh through difficult times, and how to mature into the adult that I am today.

For each and every one of my family members, I am very thankful. I love every single one of you with all my heart and I am happy and grateful to know that each of you feel the same way in return. I am who I am today because of the impact you all have had on my life, and I will never be able to thank you enough for that...but here's to trying!! Thank you for giving me the best life out there. I am so lucky.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
