Life is unpredictable. We're all aware of this as humans. But sometimes, life takes us by surprise at just how fragile it is. This idea can be scary and we can choose to live in fear of what may happen and we can choose to fear the dangers of this world or we can choose to use this as a reminder to cherish the time we do have. Trust me, I understand how overwhelming these kind of events can be. Some may see my view as naive, but honestly I think living in fear is the most limiting lifestyle you can choose. Don't let fear take away from all the amazing things this world has to offer; missing out on every chance for adventure.
Instead, live everyday as if it were your last. It may be cliché, but it's true. I'm a strong believer in telling people how you feel, how much you appreciate them and just embracing all the blessings of life while you still can. The truth is, none of know what is going to happen today, tomorrow or the next day. But I challenge you, instead of living with apprehension and worry, live with intention and embrace every moment. Life becomes instantly more gratifying the moment you make this switch.
As I am a person who knows just how limiting anxiety can be, I know this switch is not easy. Some people may choose to make this a small changes every day to embrace the spontaneity of life, while others may make a quick whole-hearted change even just after reading this.
It scares me to know how many people live in fear of the future. It can be scary, but it can also be beautiful. So choose to believe that whatever life has in store of you, you can handle. Spend time with your loved ones while you still can, tell your friends and family how much you appreciate them, explore the places around you, go on an aimless road trip, go watch the sunset or sunrise. I have not always been a spontaneous person, but every since I started to believe in taking chances, I have found myself happier.
My final message is, don't let life scare you out of living. Embrace what you have and the beauty around you. It can be easy to find negativity and bad things if you are looking for them, but in the same token, you can find happiness all around you as well. So, choose today to not live in fear of life or time, but embrace them. Embrace the life you have, make it yours. Embrace the time you have and make the most out of every moment. Capture memories you're proud of.
Don't let life limit you, let it empower you. There is so much to live for.
