I am not addicted to Pinterest. Why would someone ever say that to me? Can they not hear my heart break from that brutal statement? Honestly, they have some nerve…
Just because I visit the website pretty much every single hour of every single day does not give them the right to label me like that. Everyone visits websites all the time, so I am good. No need to “pin” this sort of label on me. Wait, does using a Pinterest pun mean something? HA! Who am I kidding? That just means I’m funny and witty.
It doesn’t mean anything if I also have the app on my phone. I mean, I browse it only when I am bored. And when I have nothing to do. And pretty much all the time. But it doesn’t mean anything. People do the same thing with other apps. Also, just because I have the app right there on my front page of my phone so I can have easy access means I just want it in a certain place that is easy to access. Nothing more, nothing less.
Also, how many boards is “too many”? Forty-six isn’t too many boards right? I mean, one truly needs a board dedicated to anything that could happen in their lifetime. You have your basic boards for food, shoes, clothes, jewelry and even hair styles. But you can also go a step further and have future house/apartment dedicated boards! You have to plan for those life events, and deciding on what your future master closet in your future mansion will look like is an important decision to make. Don’t even get me started on my future wedding board: IT IS A MUST! I may not have a ring, but I am allowed to dream and plan for what the day may look like down to the color of the napkins and the type of flowers I will walk down the aisle with. That’s completely normal. Right?
I could sit there for hours just searching, looking and pinning pins I know I will need down the road. For example, how to get that stain out of my driveway or those expensive yet beautiful Christian Louboutin classic black high heels I may never own — they all need to be within my boards for me to save. Pretty much any pin that is out there is a pin that needs to be in my life.
So as you can see I am not addicted to this website. I do not have an obsession. I am just a normal college girl who happens to really, really like Pinterest. I don’t think I spend too much time browsing its neverending searches and pins of products I need in my closet or food that I need to make. I look at it as I am helping their website grow across the masses. I am just having fun and I can stop whenever I want. But I most likely will not.
