Meditation is the best medication, but unfortunately not enough people know about it. It's a simple practice that revolves around silencing your mind. Although there's several ways to do it, the most common form is simply to sit or lie down and focus on breathing in and out. That's it. The tricky part is trying not to think. In our daily lives, we are constantly bombarded with information, sending information, talking, reading, writing, doing something, in motion physically, mentally, or both, but what meditation focuses on is the art of just being. Try doing it for five minutes every day for a week, and if that feels good try, 10 next week, and then 15 after that, find what feels good for you, and explore the depth of silence.
