Dear Old Me,
One day, you're going to look at yourself and say wow, I have been way too harsh on myself, and have picked out every so called "bad thing" about myself. On that day, you won't be able to recognize yourself. You will look in the mirror and smirk at yourself. You look at yourself with pure joy and happiness. You will think about everything good have you done and fulfilled in your time.
This is your future endeavors that you are writing about. But, I want you to take a step back and reflect on how grateful you should be on what life has given you so far. Look at your family, and your friends and all of what you have accomplished. You should be so proud of yourself right now, and to not be such a perfectionist.
I know you are stressed now without knowing your future endeavors like college, career, and relationships. But, everything will be okay. You do get to the college of your dreams, you do meet the best of friends there, all while finding yourself throughout these years. You will excel in your major, and will find a career that you are really passionate about.
You are going to keep some relationships, while leaving others. This is what will make you grow. You will grow more and more independent, and realize that you don't need someone to necessarily lean on. You will develop your own identity and won't feel the need to impress someone. You will be able to know that you can fight your own battles. You will be able to start trusting yourself and your own intentions. You will be able to learn to trust people, because usually you do not. You might take a risk sometimes, but opening up your heart sometimes is needed instead of always hiding it internally.
You will succeed and will make a difference in other peoples' lives. Although, don't forget to take of yourself. Stress is temporary, keep that positivity and that big smile of yours going. Keep the constant faith that everything will work out the way it is supposed to. Don't allow yourself to get wrapped up in life. Make sure to spend time with your family and friends, appreciate the time you have with them. Make time for fun adventures and doing spontaneous things, you love that and find the joy in the littlest things. Keep up that drive that you have to motivate others, determination to fight and become stronger, and to be happy every single day. You will learn to strive for balance and to fight endlessly like you never have before. You will feel lost at times, but your soul and heart will still keep you going, like it always has pushed you.
With love,
Your Future Self
