To My Older Brother,
Thank you. I know I probably haven't said it enough. You have done far more for me than you ever had too. Even if we aren't as close as we once were, adulting has made that very hard I will say.
Thank you for tolerating me when I was young. I know I was a very annoying little sister. Wanting to watch all the movies you watched and play games with you and your friends. I know it was hard to enjoy watching "Planet Of The Apes" when I had tons of questions and wouldn't shut up for more than maybe two minutes.
Thank you for looking after me and cooking my meals when mom and dad couldn't. I know it was hard for you, having to look after me and skip out on some plans with friends.
Thank you for helping me with school work and making sure I got up and went. I know I made it difficult when it would come to making sure I went to school or did my homework. You enjoyed school much more than I did.
Thank you for being there for me when dad died. I know you had to put on the strong big brother act as if it didn't hurt you as badly as it did me. You did all you could to make me happy and keep me from developing a severe depression from the tragedy.
Thank you for listening to me rant and vent about all the drama I dealt with from middle school to high school. I know it was annoying to hear me rant and vent then say how much I loved that friend but couldn't stand them. But you know how high school girls get. All petty and crazy.
Thank you for being there for me through my break ups and rejections. I know it probably broke your heart more than mine to see me hurting. But you kept me smiling and made sure I moved on fast and realized boys aren't worth my tears.
Thank you for becoming my best friend as we grew older and always making me laugh. You are the funnier sibling, I will give you that one. I always thought you should be a comedian.
Thank you for always supporting me with my hopes and dreams. It means a lot to have a brother who supports me no matter what I choose to do.
Thank you most of all for being my big brother. You have been there for me even when we have fought or disagreed. You have done so much for me over the years and it means the world to me. I can never thank you enough.
Love,
Your very thankful little sister.
