When it comes to the music scene in Florida, most concerts either feature big stars or are electronic music festivals. Many times, bands tour and us Floridians have to flee to nearby southern states in order to see our favorite artists.
Luckily, that's all changing this year as Florida gets Bonnaroo vibes with the inaugural Okeechobee Music Festival which will be hosted from March 4 - 6 at Florida's Sunshine Grove.
Including big names like Mumford & Sons, Kendrick Lamar, Skrillex, Miguel, Big Grams (Big Boi + Phantogram) and many more, this three-day event is bringing the music festival Florida has always needed and wanted.
The three-day festival will be on an 800-acre property in Okeechobee, and is the first of its kind featuring more than 80 acts on five different stages. Three-day general admission passes are currently on sale here, although the first tier tickets have already been sold out. Tier two tickets are still on sale and other passes will become available at a later date.
The festival organizers state it will be "Florida's biggest-ever camping festival celebration."
Okeechobee Music and Arts Festival is produced by Soundslinger, a team of concert promoters and producers who are also behind Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee and the Outside Lands Music Festival in San Francisco.
It will take place at Sunshine Grove, just north of the city. The festival will include art installations, popular food trucks, and yoga, meditation and holistic workshops.
