There are just some shows whose jokes have become so deeply rooted in our lives that we would be lost without them. "Arrested Development" has become one of those shows for me and my friends, and I've noticed that the characters represent the colleges in Ohio.

1. Lindsay: Miami University

She’s entitled, spoiled, and thinks the world revolves around her, but at the end of the day, she’s actually a caring person and knows a thing or two. She’s an interesting mix.

2. Lucille: Ohio University

Is she ever not drinking?

3. Michael: Case Western Reserve University

He’s the smart big brother trying to keep everyone else in line.

4. Gob: Bowling Green State University

He can be found in party central at all times. Does anyone want to see a magic trick?

5. George Bluth Sr.: University of Akron

Akron has a longstanding tradition of Greek life...is this how recruitment works?

6. Kitty: Wright State University

It’s just a week off school—calm down.

7. Tobias: Youngstown State University

Like Tobias’ acting career, it's there, but nobody knows about it.

8. Gene Parmesan: The Ohio State University

If you accidentally call it Ohio State University, it’ll only be about .02 seconds before someone reminds you that it's THE Ohio State University. Has this person just been following you around waiting to say that?

9. Maeby: University of Findlay

This is basically the child that nobody pays attention to.

10. Ann: Xavier University

Don’t even think about doing the wrong thing with her around.

11. George Michael: Baldwin Wallace University

He’s just kind of watching the rest of us fumble around and trying to adult.

12. Maggie Lizer: University of Toledo

They wouldn’t know what’s going on even if it hit them. Well, that’s what we thought at least. Wait, what?

13. Buster: Kent State University

You never know what they’re going to say.

14. Bob Loblaw: Capital University

He probably went to law school here.

15. Steve Holt: University of Dayton

They get way too excited anytime anyone talks to them, even though they’re popular and well-known.

16. Annyong: Otterbein University

He just kind of pops in every once in awhile to see what everyone’s up to.

* * *

All of the characters are great, but they each have their funny little quirks. I think it's time to go watch a few more episodes while I work on my next article.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
