Ohio Schools As "Real Housewives"

Which housewife would your university be?

Ohio Schools As "Real Housewives"

I am an avid watcher of the entire "Real Housewives" franchise. I have tried to limit myself to watching only two of the cities, but something about it makes me come back every time. Here are some of the houswives and their stereotypes, matched up to colleges in Ohio.

Lisa Vanderump: Ohio State University

The Lisa Vanderpump thinks she can do no wrong much like The Ohio State University. Everyone is intimidated by her, and no one will actually call her out. She’s very well-known, and it seems like it takes a lot to become her friend, much like how hard it can be to get into OSU.

Bethenny Frankel: University of Cincinnati

Bethenny Frankel is beautiful and majorly successful. Besides being a housewife, she is also an entrepreneur, author, talk show host and chef. She had a difficult childhood, and before she launched her multimillion dollar company, Skinny Girl, she was struggling to pay for everyday things. Like Bethany, UC also used to not have the best reputation, and now it is a school on everyone’s radar and known for its beautiful campus and one-of-a-kind president.

Tamara Judge: Ohio University

Tamara Judge is a party girl. She is always down to have a good time, and she always knows where the party is at. I’ve also never seen her host a bad party, but besides partying, she doesn’t do much of anything else.

Vicki Gunvalson: University of Dayton

Vicki is a do-it-yourself kind of person. She is very wealthy because of her own success. She is an extremely hard worker, and her career is the most important thing. You never hear a bad thing about Dayton because they are a school focused on innovation, much like Vicki.

Lisa Rinna: Bowling Green State University

Lisa Rinna is kind of just blah. She loves to talk and stir the pot, which gets draining to watch after a while. You know what you’re going to get with Lisa, and there isn’t much to her, much like Bowling Green. BG’s colors are orange and brown, and they have a cemetery in the middle of their campus. They are also located in the middle of nowhere, and you know exactly what you’re going to get when you attend Bowling Green.

Ramona Singer: Kent State University

Ramona Singer doesn’t have the reputation of being very intelligent, rather just completely crazy. She is super quirky, just like a lot of the students at KSU. Ramona is one of those people who is very confident in herself, but everyone else still questions her.

Melissa Gorga: University of Toledo

Melissa is constantly getting mixed up with her sister in law Teresa, much like Toledo gets mixed up with Kent State. Toledo is completely different than KSU, so I don’t know why they get mixed up, just like Melissa needs to stop getting compared to her sister-in-law. Melissa is a little bit younger and better looking than Teresa, and not to mention, she hasn’t gone to jail, yet.

Heather Dubrow: Miami University

Heather Dubrow is rich, and there is no question about that. She is stuck up, but also extremely nice. She was the girl in high school who couldn’t wait until college, so she could rush her mom’s sorority. Although she has 17 closets in her house, she is still your best friend because she will tell you exactly what you need to hear.

Luanne de Lesseps: Xavier University

Luanne is a countess, and she will make sure everyone knows that. She thinks she is prestigious, even though she is divorced from the man who made her a countess. Sometimes she is forgotten about, but when mentioned, people know exactly who she is, much like Xavier. In the big picture, Xavier will always be the second best University in Cincinnati, but will never be completely forgotten.

Just like these housewives, every school has their own quirks and drama, but we love each and every one of them for what they are.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
