Odyssey Calendar of Events: 2/26 - 3/3

With all that is happening on the 40 Acres and in the thriving city of Austin, it can be tough to keep up. Follow The Odyssey’s weekly calendar of events to make sure you don’t miss any of it. To submit an event for the calendar, email texasodysseyeditor@gmail.com at least one week in advance with a description of the event, including its time, location, fees and accessibility to the student body and general public.

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 26 

Rapid Resume Review: Get a free review of your resume in JES A115 on campus from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The reviews are roughly 15 minutes long and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. 

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28 

Texas Men's Basketball takes on Kansas: The game will start at 4 p.m. in Lawrence, Kansas. It'll be telecast on ESPN. 

SUNDAY, MARCH 1 

Zilker Park Kite Festival: The annual Zilker Park kite festival, one of Austin's largest and most unique traditions, hits Zilker Park all day. 

Fleetwood Mac at Frank Erwin Center: The show starts at 8 p.m. and tickets start at $49.50 through the Texas Box Office. 

MONDAY, MARCH 2 

Texas Independence Day: The day celebrates the March 2, 1836 adoption of the Texas Declaration of Independence. 

Texas Men's Basketball takes on Baylor at home: The time and telecast of the game are undecided at press time. It will start at 6 p.m. or 8 p.m. and will be cast on ESPN or ESPNU. 

TUESDAY, MARCH 3 

Talk by Snapchat CEO and co-founder Evan Spiegel: The event will be held in the SAC Auditorium on campus at 6:30 p.m. Admission is limited to UT students plus one guest due to the high demand for the event, according to its Facebook page.

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4 

Voting in campus-wide elections begins: Student voting in this year's campus-wide elections is on March 4 and 5 and can be done online at UTexasVote.org.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day.
