You're always there at the end of a long day, to help me forget the stress and worry of the day. No matter what goes on or what happens, you're waiting for me when I come home, ready to make my day better. You don't ask any questions, which is awesome when I don't want to talk about things. But you also give me the courage to speak my mind when I'm not quite over the happenings of the day and need a confidence boost to share my feelings.
You come in so many different types that no one will ever get bored of you, and there's a type of you for everyone. You come from all over the world and to be honest, that's kind of incredible. You don't care where I came from, hell, you don't even care why I need six bottles of wine, you're just there for the ride and I appreciate that.
You pair so well with so many different types of food that you're the best kind of drink to have around. You get along with everything and everyone around you and that's what everyone wants from a beverage. No one wants to think about whether their drink choice will not taste well with what they're eating because news flash: wine tastes good ALL the time.
You bring out the heart in me. Seriously, there's nothing like having one too many glasses of you and opening up to my friends and family around me. Nothing makes me tell everyone how much I love them like you do and I thank you for that. Sometimes, I can be a little guarded and a little quiet with my thoughts. Sometimes, I don't show enough appreciation for the ones around me. But with you, I don't worry twice about letting everyone know how much I love and appreciate them because when I'm drinking you, the love just flows. Thank you for helping me tell everyone, even some strangers, how kick ass I think they are and how much I completely adore them. The people need to know and you sure help in that open communication.
You are the adult beverages of all beverages. You are a mama's best friend, a teacher's confidant, a steak's best pairing, a girl's night in's number one necessity, and so much more. You are the one who keeps us sane, who keeps us from flying off the handle, and who keeps us looking forward to getting home after work and settling in with our favorite movie or show. You're part of the reason we can't wait to meet up with our friends and talk about all of life's happenings.
