Oh sweet sweet dorm food,
I am so glad I brought you. If I don't want to get up and walk to the dining hall, you are there. No need to look publicly acceptable! If I don't have time, you are my quick snack, settling my stomach for a few hours. I don't even have to change out of my pajamas because you are a step away. If I need a snack, you are there to munch on. You can even be used as a sweet distraction from studying. Whether it be in the form of popcorn, mandarin oranges, granola bars, or goldfish, dorm food always seem to taste the best. It reminds me of home and my childhood, where the same food was stored in the cabinets. I have tea packets and coffee singles in preparation for an early class, and Ramen noodles are basically a whole meal for when the dining hall closes early! This food is also crucial to my bargaining game; almost like it is my floor's system of money. When people come into my room for the first time, I seem like a spectacular host by offering everyone something! Your presence is undervalued, my friend.
Thank you, dorm food, for keeping me happy.
Love,
The College Student
