I don't know about you but when October hits I get in such a happy mood. Not only does the weather get cooler and the festivities become more fun, but the movies get better too. Who doesn't love a scary movie night with your friends? This year instead of horror films I'm thinking of sitting down and watching some classics that I haven't seen in a while. These Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOMs) are my personal favorites and I'm definitely not too old to watch these this October.
Halloweentown
One of the OG Disney Channel Movies and honestly one of the best movies ever. Marnie finds out a big secret about her family and learns that she has magical powers. I think a lot of us definitely wanted to be like Marnie when we were younger.Halloweentown 2: Kalabar's Revenge
Just when you thought it couldn't get any better they went and made a sequel and this time things get a little bit more interesting. Will Kalaber take over Halloweentown this time?
Halloweentown High
The Iron Daggers were a group of students you did not want to mess with, unless you're Marnie and her new teacher, witch grandma.
Return to Halloweentown
The one where Disney Channel thought we wouldn't noticed they changed the actor of Marnie. Just because she got older doesn't mean she'll look completely different. Other than that, it's still a pretty good classic.Twitches
Why wouldn't we love a movie about twin sisters who have magical powers, were separated at birth then finally find each other and within days they have to defeat the Darkness? Obviously, it was a good idea.Twitches Too
Of course, we should have known the Darkness would make a return.Don't Look Under The Bed
Another OG, literally, it was released in 1999. This was also one of the only DCOMs rated TV-PG because of some of the frightening scenes. Not going to lie, it did scare me a little as a child.
Phantom Of The Megaplex
When Pete is forced to bring his siblings to his job at the Megaplex things start getting weird. Such a classic "scary" movie you can't help but want to watch even as an adult.
So, grab the popcorn and invite your friends over for a Halloween movie night DCOM edition.
