It's finally through October, which means we're already closer to Christmas. The only real date on my calendar. This month has been a climax in my growth and here's all the serums, supplements, and spells that added to it.
The monthly Spotify playlist. This one is a mash-up of alternative, feely tunes from voices like Boy & Bear and The Black Keys. I highly recommend that you listen while you read, it's the new whistle while you work.
This article: http://thoughtcatalog.com/rachel-c-lewis/2013/12/t.... This short and sweet piece essentially designs the beauty in being desperate. There is no guarantee of any timeline and it is absolute nonsense to wait to send a text or deny someone of their own love. "Tell The People You Love That You Love Them." It's that simple.
Being home. Literally just driving home and being there. It's easy to get used to the every day and disconnect from your roots, for that's what we are bred to do. We just take a little longer than the average bird. Recently, I've found peace just being home around food and love you just can't get anywhere else. No store, no friend, no dog on Twitter. I'm encouraging everyone to go get themselves some home every now and then!
Lang Leav. As a writer, I seriously admire people with mad skills. And this girl has mad skills. Her words have pulled me into a downward spiral and I'm apologizing in advance if this does the same to you. (Have a box of Kleenex in arms reach.)
Halo Top- Peanut Butter Cup. This stuff changes lives. It's like the best parts of a Reese's with muted calories and less guilt. I'm eating some as I'm writing this and my fingers are practically splashing in the dripped remnants and I'm not mad about it. Seriously go to the grocery and indulge in as many flavors as possible. If this one doesn't make you jazzed, there are far more new flavors here, The Scoop on our Pints.
Coins. These things actually do change lives. It might sound weird, but I've had a recent obsession with these little guys. They're not fragile like paper and they're not as easy as a chip in a card. They're historical and I love it. One day we'll probably trade air and call it currency, so this is the closest thing to giant stones right now. I love to collect them in my car and have them for spare parking meters or toss a few extra coins into a basket for hungry dogs. Sounds little, but what ya could do ya should.
Tune in a month from now to see the new new.
