EW confirmed that Sandra Bullock will play the lead role in an all-women reboot of Ocean's Eleven. Steven Soderbergh (Ocean's Eleven, 2001) will not be in charge and instead will leave the reins in Hunger Games' director Gary Ross' hands.
Luckily for Gary Ross, I already made an all-women recast... six months ago.
Taraji P. Henson as Danny
The Empire star could light up the screen with her vivacious charm as the leader of this entourage.
Kristen Stewart as Rusty
Move aside, Brad Pitt. Stewart could totally play the smooth-talking, constantly snacking second in command.
Rinko Kikuchi as Linus
The Pacific Rim heroine would be a perfect fit for the eager to please pickpocket of the group. Drift compatible? More like lift compatible.
Viola Davis as Terry Benedict
The How to Get Away with Murder star would be a perfect choice for the on-the-dot rival casino owner who just oh so happens to be with Ocean's ex-wife.
Laverne Cox as Frank
Frank (played by the late Bernie Mac) could talk himself out of any situation and grant easy access to the inside. Now, let's think back to the time Cox's Orange is the New Black character, Sophia Burset, swallowed a mini bobblehead to feign an emergency visit to the doctor's. Plus, she's got the perfect eyebrow raise that speaks volumes.
Gina Rodriguez and Dascha Polanco as the Virgil and Turk
Just picture these two sarcastically bickering away as on-screen siblings as the leg-women of the group.
Khandi Alexander as Reuben
Alexander could definitely play the high-rolling financial support of the heist with a spiteful aloofness while rocking a pair of ginormous shades.
Zhang Ziyi as Yen
She could backflip, high kick, and wriggle her way out of sticky situations as the greasewoman.
Ellen Page as Livingston
Her skill in performing awkward, coming of age characters in previous films like Juno and Whip It could easily be transferred into the role of the nervous hacker. The burger phone would be a necessary prop of course.
Lupita Nyong'o as Basher
Who wouldn't want to see actual real-life Disney princess Lupita Nyong'o blow stuff up?
Nicki Minaj as Beatrice
Just imagine her trademark glare of contempt as Viola Davis and Taraji P. Henson's characters fight over her. There's no way she'd tolerate that and it's just what I'd love to see.
C'mon, Hollywood. Look at all this beautiful representation.
