My body doesn't belong to you.
You don't have the right to make remarks about it.
You don't get to choose what clothes I wear.
You don't get to tell me what I can and can't dress in.
And just because I do dress a certain way, doesn't mean I'm "asking for it."
It's not funny to make girls feel uncomfortable about their bodies.
It's not funny to make girls feel ashamed and self-conscious.
It's not "flattering" to be hollered at from across the street.
And it's' certainly not a compliment.
I'm not asking for it because I'm wearing a short skirt.
I'm not asking for it because I'm wearing a low-cut shirt.
I'm not asking for it because of the size of my breasts.
I'm not asking for it unless I'm clearly, soberly, verbally asking for it.
Women are more than just their bodies.
Women are more than just your words.
Your words do not define women.
Your words are nothing but an immature attempt at passing time.
And your words are not worthy of our attention.
My body doesn't belong to you.
My body belongs to me.
