Happy October! It's every ghoul, goblin, and witch's favorite time of year. That's right, it's the month of Halloween!

Although there are many people, including myself, who have been wanting to take part in the spooky season since the end of August, it is now officially okay to release your inner Halloween monster.

What is the best way to celebrate the spookiest time of the year? A Halloween movie marathon!

But not any Halloween movie marathon. A Halloween movie marathon that is for those who want to enjoy the holiday without being scared to death.

So, here are 10 movies to watch this Halloween season if you don't want the extreme spooktacular side of Halloween.

1. "Beetlejuice"

Just don't say it three times.

2. "Corpse Bride"

Be careful where you say your wedding vows or you'll learn the story, that'll make your skeleton cry, of the lovely corpse bride.

3. "The Addams Family"

Halloween's favorite family is kooky and shows that normal is all an illusion.

4. "The Nightmare Before Christmas"

Embrace your inner Pumpkin King and enjoy this movie not only for Halloween but for the remainder of the year. I mean, it is a Christmas movie, too, right?

5. "Coraline"

The other mother is always watching, just make sure she doesn't sew buttons in your eyes.

6. "Halloweentown"

This family of witches not only save Halloweentown, but they show us how being normal is vastly overrated.

7. "Twitches"

Twin witches separated at birth not only saved their kingdom from the darkness once but are reunited on their 21st birthdays to save the kingdom once again. Go twitches!

8. "Twitches Too"

After saving their kingdom in the last movie, the twins learn how to strengthen their powers all the while trying to prove that their father may not be dead.

9. "Casper Meets Wendy"

Casper the friendly ghost meets a witch named Wendy who is played by a young Hilary Duff. Although ghosts and witches aren't supposed to get along, they team up to defeat a warlock.

10. "Hocus Pocus"

Last but not least, this classic movie is a must-watch for the Halloween season. This movie is sure to put a spell on you.
