No, I'm Not Doing Anything For Senior Week And Frankly, I Don't Care

When I'm writing this, I haven't graduated yet, but the time it's published I will have. I'm not to Senior Week. I get it, it's a beach trip with all your friends before you head off into the real world (aka college) and an excuse to drink all the beer in the world, but frankly, I don't see the appeal.

You can go to the beach whenever with whoever you want. You can go to the mountains whenever you want. Everything that people do for senior week, you can do whenever you want.

Besides, it's stupid expensive.

You have to get a house to rent, buy food, buy gas. All that adds up real quick.

Senior Week isn't for everyone. If you don't want to, don't. I'm not. And I don't regret it at all.

It's fun to see all of the selfies on social media, they are everywhere. I see pictures with pouty lips, duck lips and pucker lips. You constantly text my phone telling me that you want to see me and hang out, even though we may not have sex we cuddle and that’s intimacy in its own. I’m tired of buying you food and being there for you like a girlfriend when you consistently tell me you aren't ready for a girlfriend. You are wasting time telling me you aren’t ready because while you are “getting ready” some guy somewhere else is telling me that he likes me and thinks I’m beautiful and wants to date me. I’m not asking for much, but I at least want exclusivity because you ask me for all these things but in return you give me nothing.
