The Nintendo NX has been revealed! Scratch that, from here on out it is called Nintendo Switch. The company revealed on October 20th a trailer showcasing the new console. Many people and industry insiders were speculating that it was going to be a console/handheld hybrid, and that turned out to be true. The console is due sometime in March 2017. We still don't know the price, launch lineup, technical specs., etc. but those details are said to come sometime between now and the launch month so don't hold your breath. As far as looks go, I love it. The console itself is very simplistic. It's a tablet that is put on a dock when you want to play on your television. When you want to take it on the go you simply take it out from the dock and attach these what looked like miniature sized controllers called joy-cons and attach them on both sides. Or you can even detach them and just have them in your hands like any contemporary wireless controller. And if these mini controllers don't work for you then you can just stick to the pro controller which is normal sized and will come out for the system additionally.

There is a grip you can buy additionally that connects both joy con controllers so you can have a better perhaps more comfortable experience. Let's get to what really matters which are the games. Unlike the WiiU which had abysmal 3rd party developer support when it came to games, the Switch will be the opposite of that debacle. Also, we know there will be a new Mario game for it (as expected) and also the much anticipated, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. Games that were showed in the trailer included NBA2K17 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition but when asked for a statement both developers denied confirmation that the games were coming to the Switch. We also know that the console will feature Nvidia components but the specific specs. of the console were not revealed.

Now I want to briefly talk about the trailer itself. We saw only young adults using the console. So does this mean Nintendo is abandoning its kid-friendly user base or are they just waiting to spring that on us later? Also, I like that the trailer had a more dark tone (I mean that aesthetically and not metaphorically) with some of it being set at night time. And finally, it seemed the trailer was just meant to be edgy in some way and that effect was helped by the song, Ha Ha Ha Ha (Yeah) by White Denim. Nintendo decided to go with. The trailer did a good job for me personally to get hyped for this new console.

Update: We now know that physical WiiU games and 3DS cartridges will not work for the Nintendo Switch according to a representative of Nintendo. Additionally, we know that the tablet will not function as a second gameplay screen like WiiU's gamepad. It will be an either/or situation between the tablet and the T.V.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
