The 90s was the time Nickelodeon was at their peak broadcasting shows, which have a left a good impression with all those kids who watched them. These shows were part of our childhood and their appeal still lasts today when we get a chance to watch them.
1. Rugrats
For a show that had a sole basis on the adventures of babies it allowed children to be more imaginative for themselves and gave them more to think about outside the real world using their own imaginations.
2. Hey Arnold
This show had such an appeal with kids because of its own connection to real life issues. It revolved on a group of friends who all went to school together having individual preferences and life styles while even focusing on their own stigmas being teased by peers and wanting to fit in.
3. Doug
A show about a kid moving to a new town and struggling to fit in with those who surround him especially inside a school setting. He learns to become just like the rest of the kids in his new hometown through interacting with them and understanding what they consider normal leading him to be accepted by those who are in his own age group.
4. Cat Dog
When people said two heads were better than one this show made just that its concept. A show where a dog and cat and connected through one body shows how them being together despite different species of mammals are able to stay together in a single body living through life with one another and tackling all obstacles.
5. The Wild Thornberrys
It was in this show that something never shown on a television show was bought to life for an every episode concept. A family traveling the world in a recreational vehicle traveling the world talking about issues of animals and nature and what we could do help out too. Even the main protagonist having the ability to speak with animals when they respond back to her in human words was something never shown on TV before making this a treat to watch.
6. Rocket Power
Kids all have their own interests. Not all kids will like the same things. This show had showed how kids even not liking what their peers like could still hang out because of what their own interests can do for them for collectively.
These are shows that have developed a soft corner for us kids born in the 90s. It was because of these shows we had the childhood that was given to us through television entertainment.
