Andi Dorfman
First impression rose and runner up.
We first met Nick on season 10 of the "Bachelorette." Andi Dorfman was instantly intrigued by this accountant executive. Nick was the villain of the season, boasting about this incredible love he and Andi have. He was overtly confident that he would be engaged at the end of the season. To his shock he was dumped the day before the Final Rose when Andi chose former pro-baseball player Josh Murray.
On the "After the Final Rose" show, Nick famously dropped the bombshell about his time with Andi in the fantasy suite in an emotional letter asking why she would "make love to him if she didn't love him."
Since then Andi has released a tell-all book outing Nick as "cringe-worthy" in bed.
It's safe to say that relationship is behind him.
Kaitlyn Bristowe
Mid season entry and runner up
Nick wasn't originally cast to be back on the series but after meeting Kaitlyn prior to filming he couldn't let her get away. He flew over to the show and asked if he could have the opportunity to try and build a relationship with her. Kaitlyn allowed him to try and ultimately they did fall for each other. He once again lasted until runner up, falling short to Shawn Booth.
Nick and Shawn were in no way friends during the show. Nick was public enemy number one to most of the boys. Shawn happened to be one of the more vocal ones.
Things heated up between Shawn and Nick after Kaitlyn confessed to Shawn about making a mistake by sleeping with Nick before it was even time for fantasy suites. Naturally, when you hear the girl you love slept with another guy, Shawn was not very happy and thus started a fight with Nick.
It was a dramatic decision for Kaitlyn to choose between two polar opposite men. Fortunately, Shawn and Kaitlyn still seem to be happy together.
Bachelor in Paradise
Nick fell for mother of two and notorious sweetheart Amanda Stanton at first. He gave her his first rose and hoped for their relationship to blossom. Then Josh Murray arrived. Remember him? He beat him in Andi's season. History repeated himself and he stole Amanda for the remainder of the season.
They still seem to be together.
Fortunately he eventually met Jen Saviano and they coupled up for the last few episodes. They didn't last much longer post-filming.
Nick is the male example of always the bridesmaid, never the bride. He always seems to find himself in second place.
Now he is the bachelor. He is the only male that the girls can choose, so hopefully he won't come in second place to an ex from the past or another man showing up to steal the show away.
People love to hate Nick Viall, but really all he is is a passionate man looking for a wife. Maybe this time it'll work out for him. But then he would have to give up his spot on the next season of "Bachelor in Paradise."
