I know it may be hard to believe but there are a select few of us who don’t think with our dick. I’m talking about guys and I’m not saying that every guy only thinks with his dick and is a misogynist but I am saying that as men we are not taught well by society and media on how to treat women or anyone around us.

We have been failed as a generation for the most part in teaching men. We are taught to be aggressive, dominant and to feel inferior to the alpha male. This leads people who are not inherently alpha type personalities to try to act like one. This an extremely hard task, you are essentially telling all of your DNA programing to do the opposite of what it wants to do. This plus all of the influence media has in our life in my opinion is what creates a not so nice guy.

Here now lies the problem for nice guys. A vast majority of our population are not alphas, only around 25% are. So that leaves us with around 75% of people and say of that 60% think that they are or want to be alphas. This 60% are the assholes that you always see people going for and you don’t know why. People settle for them and eventually they have changed the way we see men. Over time society has come to accept that this type of person is the majority of the population and come to expect it. This is the issue for nice guys.

For anyone who wants to or feels they should treat people with more respect than the majority they are seen as “nice guys”. You would think this would bode well, right? Not really since “nice guys” are such a vast minority they are seen a bit as soft and on tv always as the guy who truly comes in last. This gets played out in modern day society.

This can be solved. We as a society can move past this. We all just need to be more confident in being ourselves. This is no easy task but if we all help each other to achieve it I think we can. If we were all happier as ourselves many issues between the sexes would potentially be eradicated. So let us all strive to be a little nicer like this guy down here:
