They exist at every college campus- Facebook groups where people constantly post about textbooks they're selling/looking to buy, apartments people are looking to sublet, and tickets being sold for events at campus. But finally, a website is here that will make it so much more easier for college students to buy, rent, and sell to other students!
Tradeversity is a website, now being launched at over ten universities, made solely for college students looking to buy, sell, and rent easily. It's so much better than scrolling through Facebook pages for what feels like centuries because on Tradeversity, there's a list on the side with every category. Anything a college student could think of can be found on this website. Not only can you buy the textbook you need on Tradeversity, but this site also offers services to students. Need a tutor for English? You can easily find one on here! The website is 100% trustworthy and way better than Craigslist, seeing as a ".edu" email is required when signing up for the website. If a student doesn't see what they're looking for listed on the website, there's a feature where students can list something they need and once it's listed on the website, the student will get a notification about it.
This website also has an app for iOS and Android phones where students can list an item in just under 30 seconds! The app is also useful for in-app payments. Another feature provided by Tradeversity is that students have the option of paying in person or on the app so whatever the student feels more comfortable with, they can decide how they want to do it.
Tradeversity coming to Penn State will be a huge opportunity for students to quickly and easily sell, buy, and rent. They won't have to deal with the hassle of posting in multiple Facebook groups and waiting for someone to see it, if someone even does end up seeing it. Buying and selling happens so quickly on Tradeversity, it won't even feel like you posted an item for sale at all! This website will be a huge game changer for college students and I'm already excited to start using it!
