Alriiiiiight 2019! - Linda

1. Don't stress that you didn't get an "A" in that insanely hard class you took this year

https://goo.gl/images/qqeVHw

Emailing and running to the professor who didn't round up your 89.7% up to an "A" after doing everything in your power, and all those extra credit assignments. *sighs*

It's in the past now, it's gonna be a new year and you'll work even harder now to secure that next "A".

Spoiler alert, you'll be fine, will you be thinking about this class in 15 years to come? Heck no, you'll be too busy relaxing on a beach, taking a vacation from your super successful job.

2. Appreciate all those little things your parents did for you this year

https://goo.gl/images/hj74UM

The more you grow up, and start paying for most things, taking care of yourself, cooking, cleaning, and so much more. You come to really appreciate every little thing your parent does for you every day. Even if it's just that little text message every now and then, or sending you a few bucks randomly. Try to say thank you more in 2019!

3. Don't do those crazy fad diets, they won't last

https://goo.gl/images/Qqroxf

You don't have to just drastically change your diet once the New Year starts, and only eat Kale for breakfast lunch a and dinner. I think a great overall mindset of consistently wanting to better yourself emotionally and physically over time is a great foundation to have. Also, surround yourself with people that are doing the same, you will be set.

4. It's already almost 2019, are you ready to be one year closer to "adulting"?

https://goo.gl/images/qncv3E

Do you have a job lined up after college? How many places have you interned for? What's your GPA?

How triggered are you after reading those? Despite Tina's face in this gif, it will be all okay, no matter what path you are taking, YOU GOT THIS TRUST ME!

5. It's okay if 2019 isn't filled with dollar signs, you can still have fun as a poor college student, we're all in this together

https://goo.gl/images/xgDhdj

Maybe in 2019, you will be slightly less poor than in 2018! Positivity! Nevertheless, you and your friends are all in the same boat, the boat might be sinking slowly, but hey have fun on the way down.

6. Just go with your friend that has been begging you to do Karaoke at the local bar for New Years Eve

https://goo.gl/images/2ksKW4

This past year I have personally tried to continuously branch out and explore new things that are out of my comfort zone. And through this mindset, I have met so many amazing people, even if you don't initially want to go, push yourself, go do something out of your comfort zone in 2019.

7. Trust your gut (or cat) and let go of those toxic people in your life

https://goo.gl/images/hyInES

Going into 2019 drop all those people in your life that are bringing you down, surround yourself with friends that are challenging you and pushing you to be the best person you can be.

8. Get ready to absolutely kill this New Year!

https://goo.gl/images/fG3eqK

Yes this is the time to make 2019 your bitch. Say thanks to 2018, for the lessons learned, and tell 2019 to watch out.

9. Then get excited about being reunited with all your friends to start the New Year!

Leaving school and going home to see your families is always relaxing and necessary but then after the first week of being home, you already get excited about going back to school, getting in the swing of things and seeing all your buddies and see what 2019 has in store for all you hooligans.

10. Throw around some compliments more, let all your loved ones know you appreciate the heck out of them

I think compliment people exactly as Bob did in this picture, I don't need to expand further here, you can't go wrong.

Being a pharmacy technician never held as many risks as it does now. Exposure too hazardous conditions were little to none, and garbing up was only conducted in IV compounding. But, now, in order to give nurses the medications they need to help their patients, they need us, pharmacy technicians.

I've always been a huge Disney villain fan — whether it was for their cryptic one-liners, enviable outfits, or sidekick banter. Some of the most iconic lines from cinematic history have been said by the characters we love to hate and occasionally dress up as once a year.

The fear-mongering Gaston I now find hilariously cringe-worthy is now charming and oftentimes considered by fans as rightfully justified in his actions. Die-hard fans of the Disney villain fan club claim alternate egos in their favorite evil characters, adopting their hilarious witticisms into everyday life.

Social media is something many of us have been addicted to (whether we want to believe it or not) since the moment we got it. I remember getting Facebook at 10. Instantly I was hooked. I loved being able to share my life with people, a little too much in my opinion, and I loved being able to see how/what other people were doing all the time.

I have always felt left out because of how I look and who I am. I have always felt like the elephant in the room, literally. I have always been shamed for my size. For the longest time, I cared so much about what I wear and who I wore certain things in front of. I never wanted to wear shirts that would show a lot of my arm, located above my elbow. I wouldn't wear shorts that didn't go to the tip of my knees, at least. I never wore anything remotely tight, where you could see every curve, roll, or imperfection. I was so insecure about myself, and not many of my friends knew.

I have definitely had my fair share of breakups. I broke up with my high school sweetheart my second semester of college (he was cheating on me), I had a breakup with another guy I thought I was going to marry, and others in between. Regardless of whether you're the one doing the dumping or being dumped, breakups can HURT.

Your Social Activism May Actually Benefit From A Cleansing Social Media Detox

In the craziest year of our lives, sometimes there's value in taking a break.

We are living through, unequivocally, one of the most dangerous, unstable, chaotic periods of any of our lives. From COVID-19 to crises of police brutality to the mass exploitation of the poor by mega-corporations, the world outside seems to be looking more dystopic every day. What can be done about it? For many, activism involves heavily posting on social media to keep others aware. However, this comes with a net negative cost — increased levels of anxiety, depression, and hopelessness about the state of the world. Why might this be? After all, in past eras activists have endured comparable and greater levels of abuse and relentless torment from oppressors. Why, now, are people getting so easily burnt out?

Reading is a relaxing activity that provides many benefits. Everybody reads books (when they are not watching Netflix, chatting on social media, or making Tik Tok videos) to distract themselves from reality for a while. Many do not realize the positive impact that books have like reducing stress, assisting with sleep, improving cognitively, and strengthening the mind. In honor of National Book Day, there are many great novels that you can read to mark this special holiday. Here are the best ones to check out.

I Asked My Boyfriend His Opinion On Liking Other Girls’ Pictures, And, Spoiler Alert, It's Cheating

"When you get into a relationship and you're in love, you have to realize that liking photos is for the single lifestyle."

Ladies, listen up. If you are in a relationship with a guy and he is liking other girls' pictures on social media, then it's a red flag. A man who can look at someone else and show interest by liking it means he doesn't care about your feelings AT ALL.

5 Things You Need To Know Before You Watch 'Arrested Development' On Netflix

"Her?" Yes, she's an amazing show! (You'll get this joke after you watch the show).

Netflix

"Arrested Development" is an award-winning sitcom that aired for three seasons on Fox beginning in 2003, and then was picked up by Netflix for a fourth season in 2013, and then again for a final season in 2018.

However, it seems to remain one of the world's most underrated and under-appreciated shows of all time. Although this article alone won't be enough to skyrocket the show to Netflix's top 10, I hope that it will open people's eyes to the value and quality of the show.
