Pacify me

2016 is giving us some exciting new music to listen to! There are so many new songs that are coming out right now that it is hard to keep track of them. I do not know about you, but I love discovering new music. So here are some songs that I think are worth listening to.

1. Zayn Malik, "Like I Would"

This song is off of Zayn's new album, "Mind of Mine." With a pop dance theme it is no surprise that this song, according to MTV News, was inspired by Usher's "Yeah."

2. Justin Timberlake, "Can't Stop the Feeling"

This song has a happy beat. It is a song that you are not afraid to dance to. "Can't Stop the Feeling" is an original song from the upcoming Dreamwork's animation "Trolls."

3. Calvin Harris, "This Is What You Came For" ft. Rihanna

This new song is already a hit, According to Billboard news, it sold 123,000 downloads in its first week (ending May 5), according to Nielsen Music, spurring its No. 1 debut on Dance/Electronic Digital Songs.

4. Sia, "Cheap Thrills"

"Cheap Thrills" is a song by Australian singer and songwriter Sia Furler, taken from her seventh studio album "This Is Acting" (2016). With an up-tempo, pop vibe, this song has a unique sound and has become very popular in Europe and America.

5. Nick Jonas, "Close" ft. Tove Lo

This song is off of Nick Jonas' new album "Last Year Was Complicated." Nick Jonas, when talking of his inspiration of this album, said he wanted this album, and this particular song to showcase his vulnerability in his music.

6. Ariana Grande, "Dangerous Woman"

The full album that contains this single is set to release on May 20th, 2016. No surprise this single is making it up the pop charts in recent weeks with Grande showcasing her raw vocals and musical talent.

7. Fifth Harmony, "Write on Me"

Off of their album "7/27," this song truly showcases each of the women's talent with the chorus perfectly blending them all together. What I particularly like about this song is that each of the women gets to have their own spotlight in this song to show off their vocals. This song also has a great music video that goes with it with an old school vibe.

8. Adele, "Send My Love to Your New Lover"

Adele released this song recently on her new album 25. This song has a different vibe then Adele's other songs, but it has that Adele vibe still.

9. Hailee Steinfeld, "Rock Bottom" Ft. DNCE

Since debuting her musical talents on Pitch Perfect 2, Hailee Steinfeld has been killing it in the musical world. This new song of her's and the band DNCE is no exception. With exceptional lyrics combined with an upbeat catchy tune, this song will be hitting the top charts in only a matter of weeks.

10. Zara Larsson, MNEK: "Never Forget You"

This single by Larsson and MNEK's is their first US hit single, peaking at number 15th in April 2016. This song became popular in Europe first, but has hit the U.S top charts in recent months and has stayed up in the top charts.

11. Taylor Swift, "New Romantics"

Before she takes a break from music for awhile, Taylor released this incredible single dedicated to her fans. No, this song is not about one of her exes, but her dedicated fans that love her. This song has a great beat with lyrics that you can't help but sing along to. It is a great song to end her "1989" tour.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
