New Season, New Playlist

The perfect fall playlist.

I am definitely the type of person that likes certain music for each season. Now that fall has arrived, my playlist has started to change up. Whether it be finding covers or original songs, I can spend hours upon hours on Spotify and Youtube searching albums and artists. Here are some of my finds that I have been loving recently.

11 Blocks - Wrabel

I came across this song while watching a cover of it by Lauren Bonnell (check her out for great acoustic covers). With relatable lyrics and a catchy tune, this is a perfect song to listen to in the car or just play on repeat all day.

Lose a Little Sleep - Ryan Follese

Another catchy tune I've had on repeat recently. Follese has a country/pop sound on his new EP and I already can't wait for an album. Definitely a feel good song you'll know all the words to in no time.

Anywhere - Passenger

I've always been a Passenger fan so I was very excited to hear there was a new album released. This single off the album is fun and lyrically uplifting.

This Town - Niall Horan

Yes, I am a One Direction fan so it wouldn't be right if I did not include the latest. Niall is the second member to go solo and I couldn't be any happier with the result. Give it a listen and I promise you'll love this simple but meaningful song.

Colors - The Head and the Heart

I have been all about this band and their unique indie sound the past few months. This song off their new album is a must listen and perfect for Fall.

Fix You - Canyon City

If you are thinking of the "Fix You" by Coldplay, you are right. This song has a special place in my heart and when this cover started to play on Spotify, I fell in love. Canyon City has a beautiful, acoustic sound making this cover simply stunning. If into this genre, give Canyon City's album a listen. The sound is calming and the lyrics are poetic.

Fire Escape - Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness

I was introduced to Andrew McMahon a couple of years ago by a good friend and I've been a big fan ever since. This new single is another McMahon hit I keep playing and playing. If looking for something new and fresh to listen to, all of his music is a perfect place to start.

Stockholm - Judah & the Lion

Written by an alternative band with a Folk/Rock sound, this song is what I would call "the perfect traveling song." Between the various instruments and voices, their sound is irresistible and perfect for a roadtrip.

In the Cold - Haley Klinkhammer

Haley is a youtuber/recording artist. She recently released this single and it is beautifully written and arranged. I had the pleasure of meeting Haley by coincidence and she is so talented and down to earth. Check her channel and spotify out if you haven't done so already!

an image of taylor swift standing center stage surrounded by her backup dancers in elegant peacock esque outfits with a backdrop of clouds and a box rising above the stage the image captures the vibrant aesthetics and energy of her performance during the lover era of her eras tour
StableDiffusion

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
